Registering on the site is very simple fill in your details in our three step sign up process and as soon as you have verified your email address, you will be able to log in to the site, carry out searches and edit and add to your new profile.

It is free to register on Match me Happy and, as a free member you can:

  • Search through other members profiles on the site
  • Add and edit your own profile
  • Upload up to 6 of your photos
  • Add interests to your profile
  • Send up to 5 messages per day and receive unlimited messages

We also offer 3 upgrade packages. With upgrades you can have use of the following features for either

  • Chat in real time with your connection using our live chat system.
  • Once you message is sent, see if they have read it or not.
  • Find out who has liked your profile.
  • View other members profile without them ever knowing you took a look with our undercover mode
  • Upload up to 18 photos
  • Filter users so only those with a photo can message you
  • Remove ad's

You can report a concern about another member by :

  • Clicking on the button located on their profile, underneath their profile picture.
  • The report button () is also located within any messages that they have sent you
  • You can write to us directly at report@matchmehappy.co.uk

It is really important to us that Match me Happy is a safe place for all our members. If you suspect that someone is not following site guidelines, please do let us know. The person you are reporting will not be told that you have reported them so don't be shy, contact us!

To search for members on the site please click on the search link in the menu located in the top bar. You can do a basic search based on distance and age or you can choose to do a more detailed search by clicking on the ‘advanced search' at the base of the basic search form.

To edit your profile age please contact us on edits@matchmehappy.co.uk with your correct date of birth and we will make this change for you.

If you have accidentally signed up as the wrong gender please email us on edits@matchmehappy.co.uk stating the correct gender so that we can make this change for you

There are three reasons this may happen:

  1. They have deleted their account from the website. 
  2. They have hidden their profile from the website.
  3. The associated account has been closed by one of our moderators. We have a commitment to all our members to help keep the website safe and friendly. We will therefore remove any profiles which are suspicious or have inappropriate activity.

 At Match me Happy we try to block spam from even getting into your inbox and we encourage our members to use the ‘report' button to let us know immediately about any suspicious messages received. We always recommend that our members use our secure, internal messaging system to exchange the first few messages before taking the next step and exchanging personal contact details with someone new.

Spam (meaning lots of impersonal and identical messages sent over a short period of time, often including personal contact details) is often used as the first step in attempts at online fraud.
 

At Match me Happy we will store your personal information for as long as you are a user.

After you cease to be a user, we will keep all your personal information on our records for up to a period of seven years to enable us to respond to any queries or complaints.

After that time, we may retain sufficient information to enable us to identify you (such as email address) together with your reason for leaving and any information relating to complaints. We will regularly audit the personal data that we hold and will delete all such information when we consider it no longer to be reasonably necessary

To change your username please send us an email at edits@matchmehappy.co.uk with your old username and what you would like to change your username to.

To upload your profile picture go to your profile, you can upload your photos using the box at the top of your profile page. Choose the photos you wish to upload and click on the Upload photo button.

If you experience any difficulty in uploading your photo and would like us to add it to your profile for you, please send us with your photo and your username to photos@matchmehappy.co.uk

To hide your profile from other members, log in to your Match me Happy account, click on 'Settings' located in the dropdown titled with your username here you will be able to change your profile visibility from visible to hidden.

If you would like to delete your account, please sign into the site, click on your username in the top menu bar and select settings from the dropdown menu

Alternatively, you can email us at accounts@matchmehappy.co.uk quoting your username and we can delete your account for you.

To help us improve our service, we would be grateful if you would include the reason for your cancellation. We love to hear success stories, so if you're cancelling because we've matched you happy please let us know!

You can edit any part of your profile by clicking on your username in main top-bar menu

Photo upload is limited on Match me Happy to 6 photos. If you choose to upgrade using one of the following options you can add up to 18 photos to your profile

To upload your profile picture go to your profile, you can upload your photos using the box at the top of your profile page. Choose the photos you wish to upload and click on the Upload photo button.

If you experience any difficulty in uploading your photo and would like us to add it to your profile for you, please send us with your photo and your username to photos@matchmehappy.co.uk

Below are the requirements your photo must meet to be approved on Match me Happy:

  • Your photo must be saved in jpg or png format.
  • The photo size must not exceed 8MB.
  • The image size must be at least 300px wide by 300px high.
  • Your face must be shown clearly in the picture.
  • The picture must be of you.
  • No pictures of landscapes, pets or motor vehicles will be accepted.
  • The picture can contain children but they must not be the central point of the photo and you must be clearly seen in the photo.
  • You should be fully clothed in your photo, photos taken in underwear will not be accepted.
  • Your photo must not have any text overlaying it.

There are a few points you might want to check

  • Is your photo saved in JPG or PNG format
  • The JPG file must not exceed 8MB
  • Image size should be at least 300px wide and 300px high.
If you are still having problems, you can email the photo to us by attaching your chosen photo, telling us your username and sending it to photos@matchmehappy.co.uk

We try to approve all photos within 24 hours.

This might take slightly longer over weekends and bank holidays but will always be within 72 hours.

Photos that have been approved by us will go live on the site immediately.

We have a commitment to our members to help keep the website a safe and friendly place so all photos are approved by a member of the Match me Happy team.

Photos that are deemed offensive or inappropriate will not be allowed on the site and will be deleted immediately.

If it has been 72 hours since you uploaded or emailed us your photo and it hasn't yet appeared on your profile then it has not been approved by a member of our team. You should check the guidelines on photo approval and try uploading again.

If you are still experiencing trouble and you are sure your photo does meet the sites guidelines then please contact us on photos@matchmehappy.co.uk

The main reasons photos are not approved for use on Match me Happy are:

  • The picture doesn't include your face
  • The picture isn't of you
  • The picture is to small or of low quality
  • The picture contains text overlay

Whilst our team review your photo it will not be visible to other members of the site.

You will know when your photo has been approved as it will appear on your profile page and the under review text will be removed.

All your payment details are taken through a secure server. We don't authorise your payment details, this is done via a secure connection

The only details our admin team have access to relating to your payment is the subscription package you chose and the date you subscribed.

Payments to the site are 100% non refundable.

You will be entitled to use all paid features for the length of time you have chosen to pay for and we will not charge you again once this time is completed.

If you have paid for your upgrade but you haven't received the upgrade on your account within 2 hours please email us with what has happened and your username to accounts@matchmehappy.co.uk

If you are unable to log in to your Match me Happy account as you have forgotten your password please click on the forgotten password link located below the sign in form. You will then be prompted to enter your email address, once you have entered your email address you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

If you have been waiting up to an hour and still have not received the reset email, don't forget to check your spam/junk folder in case the email has ended up in there by mistake.

To change your email address you can go to the settings link located in the dropdown menu under your username in top-bar menu. Once you are on the settings page enter your new email address into the form and click 'update'.

If you are already logged into your Match me Happy account you can change your password by going to the settings page (link located under your username in top bar menu) now you can click on the change password box. You will be able to change your password to a new one as long as you still remember you old one.

If you are unable to log in to your Match me Happy account as you have forgotten your password please click on the forgotten password link located below the sign in form. You will then be prompted to enter your email address, once you have entered your email address you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

Guidelines for anonymous messaging on Match Me Happy

Once signed in to your Match me Happy account you can view other members profiles.

When you find a member you would like to message click on their profile, here you can either click on the message button () located under the profile picture or if you scroll to the bottom of their profile you will find the box ready to put your message in.

Once you have entered your message into the box click on the 'send message' button located just below the message box.

There are three reasons this may happen:

  1. The member may have deleted their account from the website.
  2. The member may have hidden their profile from the website.
  3. The associated account has been closed by one of our moderators. We have a commitment to all our members to help keep the website safe and friendly. We will therefore remove any profiles which are suspicious or have inappropriate activity.

If you fail to follow the guidelines below your account is at risk of suspension or permanant delete from matchmehappy.co.uk

  • You must not send any of the following to other members of matchmehappy.co.uk
    • Links to other websites (URL's) this include facebook and other forms of social media
    • Sexual content
    • Offensive language
    • Racism or hate towards any group of people
  • Make the most of our messaging system to gradually learn more about another member before sharing any further contact details.
  • Don't share your personal details including your, email address, phone number, home address or where you work in your profile or initial messages
  • Anonymous messaging has a certain freedom to it but make sure you only say the things you would feel comfortable saying if you met this person face-to-face.
  • Just be honest, if you are serious about meeting new people, don't lie in your profile or messages and don't use a fake photograph, there really isn't any need you great just the way you are anyway!
  • You know best, if you feel someone is doing any of the following, stop contact with them immediately:
    • Being dishonest with you
    • Trying to pressurise you into meeting up or swapping personal details
    • Ignoring your questions
    • Making claims that seem extraordinary, or contradictory to what you already know about them (look back through your correspondence to check)
  • If another member of match me happy is making you feel uncomfortable, stop communicating with them! You can also ‘block' them to stop them contacting you again. If you think they are abusing the service you can report () them to us either from one of their messages or directly from their profile using the block () button located underneath the profile picture.
  • Lastly, always be aware that the person is a stranger and protect yourself against fraud. Never send money to someone you've only met online.

To delete a message you no longer want click on the () or open the message and click on the () button located at the bottom right of message

This isn't included as one of the many free features we offer at Match me Happy, however we do offer this service as a part of our upgrade packages.

To upgrade and be able to see if the recipient has read your message you can choose from one of our three packages:

All three of these upgrade packages will let you know if the recipient has read your message.

You have a number of options open to you if you receive an offensive message on Match me Happy.

  1. You can stop all further communication with this member and ignore any message they may send you in the future.
  2. You can block any further messages from this member by clicking on the button located on their profile, just under their profile picture.
  3. You can report the Match me Happy member to us by clicking directly on the button in the message or from the members profile (just underneath their profile picture)

You can connect with a member by click on the button on their profile.

You can also connect with other members from the members page or from search results by clicking on the

Once your connect has been accepted by a member the will go from green to red

Once you have been connected to another member you will be able to use the live chat system together.

All messages will go in to your inbox from this member, regardless of the filters you have set on your messages.

If you reject another members connect invite you will not be able to use the connect features with this member.

The member who sent the connect request to you will not know you have rejected their request it will remain as pending and they will not be able to send you another request.

You can only send the connect request once to each user, it is then up to that user if they choose to accept your connect

You can disconnect form another member at any time, buy clicking on the button located in the top-bar menu and then finding the user you want to disconnect with and click on the

If you want to report the user to us you can do so by clicking on the button located in the message or on their profile just under their profile picture. Alternatively you can email us directly at report@matchmehappy.co.uk

Your account has been suspended by one of our moderators. We have a commitment to all our members to help keep the website safe and friendly. We will therefore suspend any profile/account we deem suspicious or not following site guidelines.

If once we have investigated your account we decide your profile hasn't broken any of our terms and conditions or site user guidelines your account will be restored on the Match me Happy website.

If once we have investigated your account we decide your profile has broken our terms and conditions or site user guidelines your account will be deleted from our site and you will no longer be able to access it.

Your account has been deleted by one of our moderators.

We have a commitment to all our members to help keep the website safe and friendly. We will therefore delete any profile/account that breaks our terms and conditions or site user guidelines.

We retain the right to remove any person from our website without prior notice if we believe the account to be abusing our website, guidelines or services in any way.

To hide your profile please hover over your username in the top-bar menu and select the settings option from the dropdown menu. Once on the settings page you will be able to choose to hide your profile.

If you would like to delete your account, please sign into the site go to settings page, fill on your reason and click on the save button.

Alternatively, you can email us at accounts@matchmehappy.co.uk quoting your username and we can delete your account for you.
